DMV Athletes at the 2026 NFL Combine
1) Dani Dennis-Sutton – Owings Mills, MD – DE, Penn State – McDonogh School ’22
Five-star recruit. Multi-sport athlete (football, basketball, track). Mom attended Morgan State. Helped McDonogh to an 11-1 MIAA A Conference runner-up finish. Projected Day 2 pick with first-round upside.
2) Jaishawn Barham – Baltimore, MD – EDGE, Michigan – St. Frances Academy ’22
Four-star recruit, No. 3 player in Maryland. Started all 12 games as a true freshman at Maryland before transferring to Michigan. 2022 Polynesian Bowl Defensive MVP. Two-time Honorable Mention All-Big Ten.
3) Jalen Huskey – Frederick, MD – DB, Maryland – Quince Orchard HS ’22
Under-recruited out of high school with fewer than 10 offers. Went to Bowling Green, earned First Team All-MAC. Transferred home to Maryland and made Second Team All-Big Ten with four interceptions in 2025. 2021 state champion.
4) Roman Hemby – Edgewood, MD – RB, Indiana – John Carroll School ’21
Three-star recruit, honor roll all four years of high school. Broke out as a redshirt freshman at Maryland with nearly 1,000 rushing yards and 10 TDs. Transferred to Indiana for his final season and played in the Rose Bowl. Hosts annual youth camp in Edgewood.
5) Demond Claiborne – King William, VA – RB, Wake Forest – King William HS ’22
Four-star recruit. Rushed for 2,946 yards and 47 TDs as a senior, led King William to the Class 2 state title. Virginia Class AA 100m dash champion (10.61 PR). First Wake Forest back to hit 1,000 rushing yards since 2018. Twin brother Damien.
